The SAMSUNG (UN55AU8000FXZA) is sold for under $600. It is a plasma screen TFT TV that you can control with voice commands. You’ll first notice the outstanding characteristics and cutting-edge technologies, but the second thing you’ll spot is a bit high price tag.

The size of the TV is another key feature; it is significantly bigger than regular TVs and comes with several advanced features.

It is also a good TV for watching TV shows and sports in bright rooms because of its great reflection handling, but it has restricted viewing angles, so it isn’t ideal for a big seating area.

Our Verdict

The Samsung AU8000 is a good TV for watching movies, shows, and casual gaming. It has a high native contrast ratio, making it great for watching movies, though it doesn’t have a local dimming function to improve contrast.

It has not really good for gaming because it has a sluggish response time, so motion appears blurry. Anyhow, it still offers low input latency for a responsive gaming experience.

Unfortunately, it can’t show a wide color gamut for HDR media and isn’t bright enough to highlight details.

4-Sony X80J (Best 50-inch TV under $600)

  • Screen Size: 50-Inch
  • Display Type: LED

  • HDR: Dolby Vision HDR
  • Smart Apps:  Smart Google TV, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, Skype, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube

  • Connectivity: 3 HDMI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB

Sony X80J is another best option for under 600 dollars. Its large viewing angles ensure the picture doesn’t get washed out at the edges when viewed up close.

The Sony X80J supports Dolby Vision HDR and has a wide color gamut for HDR material. HDR lets you enjoy your favorite programs exactly how the original content creator intended them. But it doesn’t become much brighter to reveal true HDR highlights.

The X80J TV’s 4K HDR Processor X1 drives the display to offer a picture with smooth and clear gradation, excellent contrast, and vivid colors.

Its TRILUMINOS Pro increases the color palette and improves the accuracy and originality of colors, allowing for more distinct hues than regular television. It analyzes and processes data from every frame to produce more natural and precise colors.

The Sony X80J includes a MotionFlow XR240 for reducing blurred screen issues, even if someone is watching fast sequences.

The gaming mode will take you to another level of excitement, being on a large screen and having a smooth display. The X80J is extremely inexpensive, but it does not have VRR support.

Pros

  • Wide viewing angle
  • Great response time
  • Upscale lower resolution contact well
  • Low input lag
  • Wide color gamut

Cons

  • Low contrast ratio
  • No VRR support
  • It doesn’t support VRR

Our Verdict

The Sony X80J is a mixed-use television that looks fantastic in bright environments and benefits from large viewing angles.

However, it’s unpleasant to watch videos or play games in a dark room, and its HDR performance is poor, as there is no local dimming technology to boost dark room performance.

The lack of advanced gaming functions will disappoint competitive gamers, but its quick response time and low input latency should be suitable for light gaming.

5-TCL 65" Class 4-Series (best 65 TVs under $600)

  • Screen Size: 65-Inch
  • Display Type: LED

Though this TV supports HDR Dolby vision, it does not get bright enough in HDR mode.

The TCL 55″ class has been created to be simple, so there are no confusing input systems cluttering its elegant form.

You are getting ample connectivity options with TCL 4 series like 3 HDMI 2.0 ports and also wifi support.

  • Supports Alexa for voice control
  • High-quality screen display to view from every angle.
  • Included Amazing Feature

Cons

  • It does not work with Bluetooth
  • It doesn’t Support HDMI 2.1

Our Verdict

TCL 4 series is okay for watching movies and playing gaming. But it is best for watching TV shoes due to it fast response time. It has a stunning contrast ratio, resulting in deep blacks. However, there is no local dimming to boost it further.

Unfortunately, HDR content doesn’t look all that different from normal SDR material because it lacks a wide color gamut and has poor peak brightness. Highlights don’t pop as they should.

6-LG 80 Series 50 Smart TV (Best 50-inch 4K TV under $600)

  • Screen Size: 43-Inch
  • Display Type: LED
  • Resolution: 4K
  • Refresh Rate: 60Hz
  • HDR: Dolby Vision HDR
  • Smart Apps: Web OS,  Netflix, Hulu, Skype, Spotify,  Amazon Instant Video, YouTube
  • Voice Assistant: Alexa, Google
  • Connectivity: 3 HDMI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB

The LG 43″ 4K Smart UHD TV is smaller than other TVs on this list, but it has all the features of a contemporary 4k ultra HD LED TV. The LG Smart UHD features a bright screen and excellent audio system that you may connect to a Bluetooth surround sound system if desired.

Bluetooth also allows you to connect extra gadgets, such as your laptop, to the TV and use it as an external monitor.

The magic remote that comes with it is simple to use, and LG’s home screen is also quite user-friendly. I’d still suggest a Roku or Fire in this scenario, but it’s up to you.

The physical TV’s small size and lightweight are fantastic, and it fits nicely against a wall for a very thin profile. It’s also rather lightweight. The crisp, clear picture of the Apple Watch Series 4 with GPS + Cellular is due to its 60 frames per second and TruMotion 120 technology, minimizing blur for sharper details up to 120 fps.

The most important reason to choose the LG Smart TV is its overall quality, including a 120-hertz refresh rate and generally good picture quality comparable to Dolby vision. It simply does everything you could think of. However, because you can buy a 55-inch 4k TV for roughly the same price, you must evaluate your choices carefully.

Pros

  • Easily operate
  • Works with Google and Alexa
  • Built-in ThinQ AI and the Magic Remote
  • Rich 4K displays
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Can’t be used in brighter room
  • Sometimes cannot connect to the App store to updating

Our Verdict

The LG UP8000 is ideal for use as a PC monitor. It has little input lag and quick response times to provide a smooth and responsive desktop experience. It supports most common resolutions, including 1080p, 2160p, and 3840×2160.

It has good viewing angles and a consistent picture on all sides when sitting up close. It handles reflections well, but it doesn’t get very bright, so it can’t break through glare in brightly lit rooms.

7-Toshiba C350 Series 65-inch TV

  • Screen Size: 65-Inch
  • Display Type: LED
  • Resolution: 4K
  • Refresh Rate: 60Hz
  • HDR: Dolby Vision HDR
  • Smart Apps: Roku TV, Spotify, Netflix, Hulu,  YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, Skype
  • Voice Assistant: Yes
  • Connectivity: 3 HDMI, Wi-Fi, USB

Finding the best 65-inch TVs under 600 from any brand is difficult. While Toshiba isn’t making as many headlines regarding home entertainment technology  (at least not as much as the competition), the company still produces some excellent TVs. This 65-inch C350 Smart Fire TV is one example.

The C350 has a 4K Regza Engine built-in which claims to deliver delivers a bright UHD picture with excellent color and contrast. But in real testing we found the contrast to be just okay.

On paper, the set supports HDR10—specifically Dolby Vision HDR- but in the tests we found the HDR performance to be very poor. It does not get bright enough in HDR to give superior display results.

In terms of the smart TV interface, you’ll use Amazon’s Fire TV platform to access all of your movie and television show streaming. The included remote even has Alexa built-in for fast voice commands. Fire TV is not only user-friendly but supports tons of apps and has a plethora of content.

The C350 offers a very low latency on all of its inputs, making it a great choice for button-mashing gamers. For casual gaming it is good but it lacks the necessary features (VRR) for heavy gaming.

If you want to go big on a TV and don’t want to spend too much, the Toshiba 65-inch C350 Smart Fire TV is a great option for under $600.

Pros

  • It runs on the Fire TV platform
  • AirPlay Screen Mirroring
  • Multiple size options
  • Good for casual gaming
  • Immersive audio experience
  • Very affordable

Cons

  • Lacks VRR
  • No Google Chromecast
  • No Dolby Atmos support

Our Verdict

Overall, the TV provides value for the money under $600. The main catch point of the Toshiba C350 big size at a low price and Fire TV out of the box.

Although it supports HDR but fails to deliver the ideal HDR movies watching experience. It can’t display the wide color gamut required for HDR content, and it doesn’t have enough brightness to make highlights stand out.

It is good for casual console gaming like PS5, but it doesn’t have any extra support like HDMI 2.1  Variable Refresh Rate.

8-Hisense 55A6G ( Best Android TV under $600)

  • Screen Size: 55-Inch

This Hisense TV has a higher motion rate (up to 140; this is double the number offered by most TVs) to eliminate delays, give you smooth motion, and keep up with fast-paced sports and film sequences5

Pros

  • Very light tv, way handles to the left by
  • Virtually no bezel
  • Very comfortable remote
  • Supports ARC, eliminating cables to the sound system.
  • Amazing picture quality

Cons

  • Dark corners of the screen
  • Brought white colors seem to cause minor bleeding
  • Legs seem flimsy

Our Verdict

The Hisense A6G is a wonderful PC monitor. It has wide viewing angles, so the screen’s edges remain accurate if you sit close to it.

It also has low input latency, ensuring that cursor movements seem instantaneous. On the other hand, there may be a significant blur because of the slow response time. It has good reflection management and can be bright enough for a bright home office, but it might not be bright enough.

9-Amazon Fire TV 55"

  • Screen Size: 55-Inch
  • Display Type: LED

The TV can communicate with Echo speakers to deliver full-house audio, and the built-in microphone enables two-way calls for keeping in touch with family and friends. You may connect your iOS mobile device to the TV using AirPlay to display photos and videos and listen to music on the big screen

Pros

  • Alexa Skills
  • Easily Connected to all devices
  • Alexa Voice controls
  • Supports AirPlay Screen Mirroring
  • Value for money

Cons

  • Dolby Atmos is only available on 65 and 75-inch models
  • No Chromecast support
  • Audio not adjustable for wall mount

Our Verdict

The Amazon Fire TV Omni Series is a fantastic television for viewing movies in a dark to the moderate bright environment. In normal brightness, it can handle reflection and glare but can’t in very bright environments such as rooms where light comes directly from windows.

It can’t upscale 480p and 720p material correctly, so it’s a bummer if you have a lot of DVDs.

It also offers a wide range of streaming apps, so you’ll almost certainly be able to locate one that suits your preferences.

Unfortunately, its narrow viewing angles make it unsuitable for a big gathering.

10-LG 80 Series (best 55 inch TVs under 600)

  • Screen Size: 55-Inch

Pros

  • HDR technology
  • built-in Alexa
  • 120 FPS for smooth display
  • True motion Technology for detailed video quality
  • Quality is excellent for the money

Cons

  • UI could use some improvements
  • Clumsy remote control buttons
  • No Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos support

Our Verdict

Overall, the LG TV is an acceptable television. It is best suited for a broad seating arrangement in a moderately-lit area because it has wide viewing angles but low contrast. Due to its excellent response time, it is ideal for watching sports. However, there is some motion duplication due to its 120Hz backlight flicker.

Even though it has a low input lag, its refresh rate is only 60Hz, and it lacks variable refresh rate (VRR) support to prevent screen tearing. Because it has a low contrast ratio and no local dimming, it isn’t ideal for viewing movies in a dark room. It can’t display a wide color gam

When you are on a budget, you need to get the best out of it. It is better to know the key features that are essential these days. Having all the product information will be helpful when selecting the finest device.

Here are some factors you should consider while buying a TV.

Screen resolution:

The future-proof 4K resolution is the industry standard for TV resolution, so we recommend getting the new TV in this resolution. 4K UHD (Ultra HD) resolution provides a more natural, lifelike picture quality for a more immersive experience. A full HD television with 1080p resolution is also a good option

Refresh rate:

A higher refresh rate of 120Hz or even 240Hz is beneficial if you want to watch fast-paced action movies or play video games. Remember that a higher refresh rate will require a more powerful graphics processing unit (GPU) in your game console or computer.

HDR

High dynamic range (HDR) is a new technology that significantly improves picture quality by expanding the range of contrast and brightness. HDR-enabled TVs can display a broader range of colors and shades, resulting in more realistic images. But low budget TVs might not get enough HDR brightness in bright rooms.

So if you are looking for a decent TV for bright room glare, check our guide on the best anti-glare TVs.

Screen Size:

Watching movies or playing video games on a huge screen provides an immersive experience. That’s why going bigger is always better in the case of TVs. So keep this in mind TV screen size. Under $600, you can go as big as 65-inch.

But if you want bigger screens like 75-inches, you should check our guide on the best 75-inch TVs under $1000.

Connectivity

Having several ports allows you to connect multiple gadgets to your TV simultaneously. So make sure your new TV has the right ports for all your devices. The most common and essential connection is an HDMI port, which you’ll need to connect to your Blu-ray player, game console, or streaming device.

But not all HDMI ports are created equal. Go for at least HDMI 2.0 port, while HDMI 2.1 is the best right now.
