The Sony HT-A7000 performs well in terms of stereo soundstage. Its S-Front Pro Front Surround technology, which reproduces the sound field using front-firing speakers, gives the impression that the soundstage is wide. Though average, and sound objects come from a more general area rather than an accurate, pinpoint location.
The center channel performance on the Sony HT-A7000 is outstanding. Its discrete center channel makes it easier to pinpoint voices within the sound image.
Voices are reproduced clearly and precisely due to their neutral frequency response, particularly in the mid-range.
The Sony HT-Atmos A7000’s performance is disappointing. To simulate height, the up-firing drivers in the bar reflect sound off the ceiling and direct it back your way. These channels’ frequency response is bright and doesn’t get very loud.

4. Razer Leviathan v2 (Best Cheap Soundbar For PS5)
- Brand: Razer
- Model Name: Leviathan V2
- Speaker Type: Soundbar
- Connectivity Technology: Bluetooth
- Special Feature:Chroma RGB, THX Spatial Audio, Bluetooth 5.2
- Streaming: Bluetooth, WiFi, Apple AirPlay 2
- Dimension:
3.62 x 19.7 x 3.35 inches
- Weight: 9.59 pounds
The Razer Leviathan V2 is a slightly sleeker offering than its predecessor and comes with a more cube-like subwoofer than the angular one of the original Leviathan.
The soundbar unit weighs roughly three pounds, while the subwoofer weighs about 6.5 pounds. This makes them both lighter than I had anticipated and easy to move about.
The end product is a sleek, lightweight soundbar that easily fits beneath a desktop display.
You can still reach the controls, which are close to the front of the top panel, even when it is positioned beneath a display.
The volume can be adjusted, and the input source can be switched between Bluetooth and USB. You cannot say that the Leviathan is complicated because there are just five controls on the entire device.
Even while the Leviathan has a subwoofer, you can choose not to use it; instead, the soundbar works well enough. But once the subwoofer is connected, the entire system’s sound significantly improves.
The Leviathan V2 works well in terms of performance. It rapidly paired with my smartphone via Bluetooth, linked plug-and-play to both a PC and a Mac computer, and all buttons are responsive.
Unfortunately, Razer has withdrawn the 3.5mm analog connector, preventing it from connecting the speaker to a console like the PS5 or Xbox Series X. (via the controller).
Additionally, the optical audio input that would have enabled compatibility with previous consoles has been removed.
A rising number of people are interested in connecting their consoles to monitors instead of the usual living room setup of connecting them to a TV with a different sound system.
A Bluetooth adaptor might be added to the consoles to overcome this, although the Leviathan has a 60ms Bluetooth latency. That’s a lot unless you enjoy the disconnect between what you see and what you hear in a fast-paced game.
Pros
- Bluetooth 5.2 allows for one-button switching between it and a USB-connected device
- Sleek design with RGB illumination
Cons
- Limited connection choices
- THX Spatial Audio only works when connected to a PC
- Sound can get a bit muddy
Our Verdict
The Razer Leviathan V2 soundbar produces great audio and can easily fill a room. Even though it has a sleek design, people with small desks might need to move the bulky subwoofer out of the way. The lack of ports is a downgrade from its predecessor, even though this speaker is amazing and works well for music and games.

The LG SP9YA has good durability. The bar is primarily made of plastic, which has a sturdy, long-lasting feel. The side-to-side metal grille adds additional protection for the drivers.
Even though the sub is also made of plastic, the fabric covering could rip or become dirty easily.
Although the LG SPK8 rear speakers are not included with this setup, you may buy them separately.
This soundbar has an excellent stereo frequency response when the bass is set to “-1,” and the treble is set to “1.”
The LG SP9YA has a great stereo frequency response, and its sound profile is more neutral and balanced.
It has an AI Room Calibration feature that automatically adjusts audio reproduction to the room you’re listening in. When this feature is used, it provides a neutral, balanced sound profile with a hint of extra punch and booms in the bass range.
The surround sound performance on the LG SP9YA is subpar. Voices and footsteps aren’t as accurately localized in the soundstage since it uses side-firing speakers to produce a phantom localization. Instead of emerging from speakers around you, audio can come directly in front of you.
Pros
- Bass and treble adjustments.
- Room correction feature.
Cons
- Poor surrounding performance.
Our Verdict
The LG SP9YA is suitable for a variety of uses. It provides a very neutral, balanced sound profile appropriate for listening to a wide variety of audio content due to its room correction feature. Buying Guide For Best Soundbar For PS5
Before getting yourself a soundbar for PS5, there are a few things you must consider:
1. Sound Quality
The first and most important thing to consider is sound quality. Buying a soundbar is only worthwhile if it gives that extra punch to the sound system.
Because of how spectacular they are, soundbars are often recommended as great alternatives to a full-fledged home theatre system.
For instance, a soundbar is a standalone device with a wonderful compact form factor and is designed like a bar. It creates sounds that immerse us in a 3D sense.
There is no doubt that the gaming experience will be fantastic when you consider the PS5’s hepatic technology and the sound features a soundbar can offer.
2. Design and Dimensions
Another factor to consider is the durability of the material. It doesn’t have to be ultra-durable but should cope with drops and flutter.
Also, you want something that looks good in your living room– the one that gels with the rest of the furniture rather than catching all the attention. It should match your PS5 seamlessly.
It’s important to pay attention to the dimensions even though the best soundbar for PS5’s overall appearance is subjective to human preferences. The width of a soundbar is the only factor that matters when describing its measurements.
The bar should be manageable and in the right place, but it should have enough space underneath the TV or at the table where your console system is set up.
Typically, soundbars are long, thin, and exactly cuboidal in shape. Next to the PS5, these soundbars look fantastic. Some models have thicker structures or rounded corners.
3. Channels
When looking for the PS5 soundbar, you probably have seen the terms 2 and 5 channels. In some cases, the numerical number may even include decimals. So if you don’t get it, you are not alone.
The simplest explanation for a channel in soundbars we could come up with after hours of research is: transmitting sound in a specific direction. Usually, speakers choose these directions. (Front, back, left, and right; center; left; rear; etc.
For instance, a 2-channel system can broadcast sound to two speakers with distinct audio outputs.
According to experts, soundbars should only be used to change the sound system for entertainment. However, it is a good idea for PS5 gamers to choose as many channels as possible.
If your soundbar has more channels, your game will be more immersive and enjoyable.
You should also pay attention to the second digit, which is written with channels.
4. Dolby Atmos
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
Conclusion
With the gaming community expanding, it is essential to spend money on a high-end soundbar for PS5 to enhance your gaming experience. Your family and friends will appreciate the greater immersion.
A soundbar for PS5 will take your gaming experience to a whole new level– no doubt about it. Get your hand on the soundbar that ticks all the boxes, and I guarantee you won’t regret it.
