The 2022 version of Samsung’s The Frame is a uniquely classy TV offering a matte screen that enhances its considerable interior design appeal. It is excellent for watching TV shows and sports in bright rooms because it gets bright enough to fight glare, handles reflections exceptionally well, and upscales lower-resolution content well. It’s also good for gaming because it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, support for variable refresh rate (VRR), and low input lag, which makes the screen feel fast.

“The Samsung The Frame is a good overall TV. It’s great for watching TV shows and sports in bright rooms because it gets bright enough to fight glare, has impressive reflection handling, and it upscales lower-resolution content well.“
“Generally, I’m very pleased with the TV.” On top of that, it also has a light sensor, and I also believe that that sensor looks at the temperature of the light that’s coming in, so this TV will adjust the brightness and color temperature of the screen. Overall, Samsung’s The Frame is the best TV.”
“The 2022 samsung frame TV performs very well at what it was designed for but not without some flaws its main appeal is as an art piece so unless you plan on using it as a decorative piece as well as a Tv. I definitely don’t see any reason to spend the money on this TV.“
“This is the Samsung The Frame Smart TV, it looks awesome when used like a TV, and it looks doubly awesome when you activate Art Mode. The new Frame 2022 comes with key improvements – anti-glare display, Q symphony support, frame styles / customisable bezel, art store with art mode that gives access to 1600+ artworks and yes there is a solar remote too.”
- Tizen smart platform
- Solar-powered remote
- Effective anti-glare screen
- Chic art frame design
- Wide range of available sizes
- Narrow viewing angle
- No Dolby vision
Samsung has tried significantly to design The Frame very similar to an artwork. Samsung made the borders look like frames for pictures. You can choose a modern or a thin black bezel from different colors and styles to match your home and interior design.
The back of the TV is plain, and there are holes for the Slim-Fit Wall Mount (400x300mm VESA ). This TV comes with the One Connect Box, a different device that holds the inputs.
It comes with this black borders (0.43″ (1.1 cm)), and if you order the different colored bezels, you put them on top.
In my experience, Samsung The Frame 2022 is exceptionally thin, has the excellent build quality, and will sit flat against the wall with the supplied Slim-Fit Wall Mount.
- Style (Front & Back): No Curved
- Bezels: Thin bezels
- Max Thickness: 1.00″ (2.6 cm)
- Wall Mount: VESA 400×300
- Build Quality: Excellent Build Quality
- Stand: Yes

The most famous picture frame TV is Samsung’s The Frame TV, a QLED TV with high-quality 4K resolution that’s also one of the most convincing picture frame TVs on the market.
Images are crystal clear, and colors are vivid and bright thanks to 4K resolution. But what I like most about The Frame is that the picture quality is always clear and sharp, even when my living room is too bright.

Samsung The Frame has a standard black bezel on the frame. You can even get into the settings, increase the brightness, and change the color temp of each pick, so art mode is established as a significant benefit of the Samsung frame. The upside besides art mode is that the samsung frame looks quite lovely.B The Installer
The sound quality of the Samsung The Frame 40-watt, the 2.0-channel built-in audio system was adequate, though I didn’t put any strain on it during use. Even though the dialogue was visible, connecting to an external soundbar would have improved the performance.
In the case of the lowest sounds (bass), like most other TVs, The Frame needs to perform satisfactorily. On the other hand, the treble (the loudest sound) can be heard better on the TV.
In my experience, Samsung The Frame has a good frequency response and distortion performance overall. There’s minimal harmonic distortion, even at maximum volume.
The speaker has 2.0.2 Dolby Digital Plus channels, enough to play different types of content. A Bluetooth wireless output is another way to connect a TV to sound.
- Power: 40-watt, 2.0-channel
- Frequency response: 100.79 Hz
- Sound modes (ALLM): Yes
- Dolby Vision: No
- Distortion: Mediocre distortion handling
- Expert Review: Good

“The low-frequency response which extends down to only about 60 Hertz and drops in volume below 150 Hertz so you get enough bass so that the TV does not sound thin but not enough to impress more than some average mid-tier TV second reason is that even when turned up to 100 volume the TV is not overly loud for listening in average size.”Bench House
The Smart TV platform has a useful Game Bar that shows if features like variable refresh rate (120HZ) are on when you play games. However, the 60Hz screen doesn’t support AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync. In Game mode, the Frame had a delay of only 9.5 milliseconds.
It has many gaming features, like handling VRR to reduce screen tearing. It has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on one port, which is excellent for playing high-frame-rate games, but you can’t add more than one current-generation gaming console at once.
It also has a low input lag (1.7 ms), making it feel responsive, and a quick response time (4.0 ms) makes actions look smooth. It’s good for gaming in dark rooms because it has a high contrast ratio but doesn’t have a local dimming tool to make the blacks even darker.
This TV can play high-dynamic range (HDR) video games on modern gaming consoles or personal computers. Compatible with: Xbox One X|S, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 Pro, PS5, GTX 10 series, and later, and AMD RX series graphics cards.
- Input Lag: Low (1.7 ms)
- HDMI Ports: 4 HDMI, 2 USB
- Variable Refresh Rate: 120HZ
- Response time: 4.0 ms
- Compatibility with Consoles: yes (Xbox One X|S, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 Pro)
- Expert Review: Best

On the other hand, it’s good to know that several voice assistants, like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung Bixby, are allowed. Also, streaming via Apple AirPlay 2 is supported on The Frame.
Samsung The Frame QLED TV has all four HDMI inputs supporting HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. The only port to support HDMI 2.1 on the larger sizes is HDMI 4, while the other ports support HDMI 2.0 bandwidth.
