Design & Build Quality
Samsung has tried significantly to design The Frame very similar to an artwork. Samsung made the borders look like frames for pictures. You can choose a modern or a thin black bezel from different colors and styles to match your home and interior design.
The back of the TV is plain, and there are holes for the Slim-Fit Wall Mount (400x300mm VESA ). This TV comes with the One Connect Box, a different device that holds the inputs.
It comes with this black borders (0.43″ (1.1 cm)), and if you order the different colored bezels, you put them on top.
In my experience, Samsung The Frame 2022 is exceptionally thin, has the excellent build quality, and will sit flat against the wall with the supplied Slim-Fit Wall Mount.

The most famous picture frame TV is Samsung’s The Frame TV, a QLED TV with high-quality 4K resolution that’s also one of the most convincing picture frame TVs on the market.
Images are crystal clear, and colors are vivid and bright thanks to 4K resolution. But what I like most about The Frame is that the picture quality is always clear and sharp, even when my living room is too bright.

The Samsung The Frame is excellent for watching movies in dark rooms. It displays deep blacks thanks to its high native contrast ratio, and the black uniformity is good; nevertheless, because it does not have a local dimming feature, there is still a touch of clouding in primarily dark scenes.
Fortunately, it has no issue upscaling lower-resolution movies from DVDs or Blu-rays, and it can automatically eliminate 24p judder from any source.
The Samsung The Frame TV works with all standard resolutions up to 4K and has a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz. It displays native 4k content perfectly, with no artifacts.
In my experience, the Samsung The Frame TV has a high native contrast ratio (7,900: 1). It has deep blacks when watched in the dark, but it doesn’t have a local dimming feature to make it better.

HDR Picture
In our HDR performance tests of this TV, Samsung Th frame achieved exceptional peak brightness HDR (HLG, HDR10, HDR10+) but not Dolby Vision.
When watching HDR content in Filmmaker Mode, the brightness jumps to 500 nits. Even though it is still not very bright for HDR, it is more than good enough for most situations.
The Frame also covers 92.1% of the UHDAP3 color range, which is good compared to some of its rivals. Also, Dolby Vision is not supported on The Frame.
In my experience, Samsung The Frame TV has a good color gamut and decent color volume. It shows both bright and dark colors well, but the color gamut isn’t full, so it can’t show all colors.
On the flip side, Samsung The Frame doesn’t support Dolby Vision. However, it helps HDR10+, which is similar overall but not as widely supported.

The Samsung The Frame is great for watching sports and TV shows in bright rooms. The high SDR peak brightness and excellent reflection control mean that glare isn’t an issue, even in brightly lit environments.
The built-in Tizen smart platform makes it easy to stream your favorite shows and has no trouble making lower-resolution material look better.
Samsung The Frame TV has an excellent overall response time (4.0 ms). There isn’t much blur behind fast-moving objects, but there is black smearing with dark things because the camera’s sensor responds slowly to dark changes.
In our testing, unfortunately, it has a narrow viewing angle. Therefore, watching the game with a large group in a room with many seats is not ideal because everyone would see a distorted image.

Sound Quality
The sound quality of the Samsung The Frame 40-watt, the 2.0-channel built-in audio system was adequate, though I didn’t put any strain on it during use. Even though the dialogue was visible, connecting to an external soundbar would have improved the performance.
In the case of the lowest sounds (bass), like most other TVs, The Frame needs to perform satisfactorily. On the other hand, the treble (the loudest sound) can be heard better on the TV.
In my experience, Samsung The Frame has a good frequency response and distortion performance overall. There’s minimal harmonic distortion, even at maximum volume.
The speaker has 2.0.2 Dolby Digital Plus channels, enough to play different types of content. A Bluetooth wireless output is another way to connect a TV to sound.

The Smart TV platform has a useful Game Bar that shows if features like variable refresh rate (120HZ) are on when you play games. However, the 60Hz screen doesn’t support AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync. In Game mode, the Frame had a delay of only 9.5 milliseconds.
It has many gaming features, like handling VRR to reduce screen tearing. It has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on one port, which is excellent for playing high-frame-rate games, but you can’t add more than one current-generation gaming console at once.
It also has a low input lag (1.7 ms), making it feel responsive, and a quick response time (4.0 ms) makes actions look smooth. It’s good for gaming in dark rooms because it has a high contrast ratio but doesn’t have a local dimming tool to make the blacks even darker.
