The LG OLED C1 is a great TV. It has an excellent picture quality thanks to its infinite contrast ratio and superb black uniformity. Audio quality is also outstanding, with the TV’s built-in speakers delivering a deep and punchy sound. 

Unfortunately, the LG OLED C1 is a bit more expensive than the competition, and its wide viewing angles come at the expense of a slightly lower resolution. Overall, the LG OLED C1 is a great TV that should please most people. Its picture and sound quality are excellent, and it has a great design and smart features.

I was thrilled to receive my LG OLED C1 Series 48 TV, and upon unboxing, I was immediately impressed by its sleek and modern design. The TV was securely packaged in a sturdy box, and setting it up was a breeze.

• The TV’s slim bezel and minimalist stand blend seamlessly into any room decor.

Design & Build

The OLED C1 has an elegant design with a sleek and slim profile. The bezels are very thin, measuring just 0.9 cm. It has a maximum thickness of only 1.8 inches, making it easy to mount on a wall. 

The TV’s back is clean and uncluttered, with a recessed panel to access ports and keep cables organised. The build quality is top-notch, and the stand is minimalist yet provides excellent stability. 

In tests, the TV compares favourably with other models in its class. The only missing feature is the lack of a built-in cable management system, although the recessed panel does help to organise cables.

I personally tested the C1 by watching a variety of movies and found the picture quality to be excellent. The deep blacks and vibrant colors really brought the movies to life, and the motion handling was great for fast-paced action scenes.

The LG OLED C1 is a great TV for HDR performance. Its picture quality is excellent, and it has very good brightness in HDR scenes. However, there are some issues with its performance in very bright scenes.These issues become more evident when the TV is viewed in a bright room or when watching HDR content with very bright scenes.

In bright scenes, the C1 can suffer from some issues with blooming and haloing around objects. This can be distracting, but it’s not a deal-breaker. Overall, the C1 is a great option for gamers who want a great HDR experience.

I tested the LG OLED C1 in a variety of different scenarios, and it performed beautifully in all of them. Whether you are watching fast-paced sports or slower-paced TV shows, the LG OLED C1 always managed to impress. The only thing that may affect its HDR & SDR brightness which is slightly low.

I put the LG OLED C1 Series 48 through a series of tests using a variety of music genres and audio sources.The C1 Series 48 produced clear and well-balanced sound across all frequencies, and I didn’t experience any distortions or other audio issues. The built-in speakers are also powerful enough to fill a large room, making this TV a great option for home entertainment.
