According to GForce, their TV mounts are some of the best you can buy in the market.
In this post, we will put their claim to the test. We have tested their mount for several months to bring you this comprehensive review.
Along with its review, we have also provided two alternatives to the mount as well so you can find exactly what you need for your TV.
Quick Summary of the Main Product
We had never tested products from GForce before this point so we were quite excited about this.
We’re happy to tell you that this full-motion mount from GForce exceeded our expectations and then some. When we first opened it up, its construction suggested that its arm might be rigid to move.
However, we were quite wrong as the arm is extremely smooth and you don’t have to put in a ton of force to get it to move.
We also highly appreciated the fact that its mounting plate can be adjusted up to 3 degrees in any direction. This makes installation a breeze and it’s definitely helpful for individuals that aren’t confident with the installation process of TV mounts.
It’s fully VESA compatible and supports VESA patterns from 200 x 200 mm up to 600 x 400 mm. This makes it suitable for a wide variety of TV sizes ranging from 37 inches to 70 inches.
It has a maximum weight capacity of 110 pounds which means it’s more than suitable for newer 70-inch TVs. However, if you have an older 70-inch TV, there’s a chance it may be too heavy for this mount.
We recommend that if you have an older 70-inch TV, you should check its weight before you buy this mount for it.
Features and Benefits
Full-Motion Movement
First of all, let’s get the obvious thing out of the way: it’s a full-motion mount which means you get the widest range of movement out of any other mount type.
It can swivel, rotate, be pushed or pulled, and also be moved up and down. The level of movement you get with this mount is only rivaled by similar full-motion mounts.
If you have a large space such as an office, a sports bar, a restaurant, or something similar, this mount can definitely be a great option for you.
You can move it in many different directions so that means that no matter where you are in the room, you can adjust it to provide you with the best viewing experience.
We have listed the exact measurements for each level of movement that the mount provides below:
- Tilt: It can be tilted 20 degrees backward and 10 degrees upward
- Swivel: It can be swiveled left and right up to 180 degrees.
- Extension: It can be extended up to 18 inches from the wall.
Mounting Plate Adjustment
One feature that we have not seen in many mounts is the fact that its mounting plate’s angle can be adjusted.
The mounting plate can be adjusted up to 3 degrees in any direction. This makes the installation process a lot easier and you have a much bigger margin for error.
If you install the mount and find that it’s slightly off-kilter, you will not have to remove it and install it again.
Instead, you can just adjust the angle of the mounting plate until it’s properly mounted according to your needs.
Wide VESA Support
As mentioned earlier, the GForce mount is VESA compatible and can be mounted onto most TVs that comply with those standards.
The VESA patterns that it supports are:
- 200 x 200 mm
- 400 x 200 mm
- 300 x 300 mm
- 400 x 400 mm
- 600 x 400 mm
Hence, if you have a TV with mounting holes that have a distance of any of the ones listed above, your TV will be able to be installed onto this mount.
The fact that it supports so many VESA patterns makes this mount extremely versatile.
Space-Saving
As mentioned earlier, the mount can be extended up to 18 inches from the wall. Similarly, if you want to, you can retract it back into the wall to save space.
When it’s fully retracted, the mount rests a mere 2.3 inches from the wall.
This is a great feature for when you want to save space and have more room for other activities.
Instruction Manual with Screws and Bolts
The mount comes with an easy-to-understand instruction manual along with assorted screws and bolts you need to properly install it.
You don’t have to buy anything else separately to properly install the mount onto your wall.
The easy-to-read instruction manual along with the fact that you can adjust the angle of the mounting plate means that you’ll have no trouble installing the mount.
Factors to Consider Before you Decide to Buy The GForce Full-Motion Mount
Price
As far as the price goes, the GForce Full-Motion Mount is one of the cheapest we have come across in the market.
Most other full-motion mounts are priced much higher than it. Even though it’s cheaply priced, it’s not made from sub-par materials that would break down in a few months.
Everything feels high-quality and you will not run into any issues during initial use as well as use years down the line.
When we first opened it, the mount did look cheaply built. However, after installation and use, we were able to conclude that it’s actually quite well-built.
It operates very well and we have no idea why it’s priced so low.
TV Size and Weight
It can easily support TVs that range from 37 inches to 70 inches.
In our opinion, this makes it an extremely versatile mount. It’s a great option to get if you have a smaller TV (37 to 55 inches) and intend to upgrade to a bigger TV (70 inches) a few years later.
It has a maximum weight capacity of 110 pounds.
The maximum weight capacity is slightly lower than what we would prefer.
While it’s more than enough to support recently released TVs up to 70 inches, it may not support older TVs of the same size.
Compatibility
As mentioned above, the VESA patterns that this TV mount supports range from 200 x 200 mm to 600 x 400 mm.
Along with its fairly decent maximum weight capacity, we feel that this makes this mount extremely versatile.
You can use this with any VESA-compatible TV. Not only that but you can also use it to mount TVs with a VESA adapter.
Mount Type
As we have stated above, this is a full-motion mount that provides the widest range of movement out of all the different mount types.
Even within full-motion mounts, the level of motion that this mount provides is extremely high.
Most full-motion mounts can swivel to only 45 degrees or a maximum of 120 degrees. On the other hand, this mount can swivel all the way up to 180 degrees.
Its tilt is also quite impressive. Most mounts can tilt to a maximum of 15 degrees. On the other hand, this mount can be tilted up to 20 degrees.
We were highly impressed by the level of motion that this mount provides.
Wall Type and Stud Spacing
The mount is designed to attach to Drywall with wooden studs.
Moreover, the wooden studs will need to have a spacing of 16 inches.
You can find out the spacing of the wooden studs in your walls by using a stud-finder.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Sturdy exterior
- Fits a wide variety of TV sizes
- Wide range of motion
- Easy to install
- Easy adjustment for mounting plate
Cons
- Limited wall type and stud spacing options
- Slightly low maximum weight capacity

Buyer’s Guide
Price
Naturally, you don’t want to spend too much on a TV mount. It’s important not to go overboard with the price but at the same time, you must not go for the cheapest mount either.
Cheap mounts are often made from weak materials that may be insecure for your TV.
Hence, you must find that sweet spot where you can ensure the mount is made from high-quality materials but it’s also not too expensive.
TV Size and Weight
This is something that all consumers think about since it’s fairly obvious.
Of course, you want to buy a mount that can support your TV’s weight and is designed to fit your TV’s size.
Please note that when we refer to “TV size”, we are referring to the diagonal viewing area of the TV.
For the weight, you must first check what your TV’s weight is and then ensure that the TV mount you intend to get can support that weight.
As for the TV size, you must ensure that the mount you intend to get is indeed designed to fit your TV.
Along with the size and weight, you also need to take into account the compatibility.
Compatibility
When we talk about compatibility, we are talking about the VESA patterns that the mount supports.
The VESA pattern of the mount refers to the distance of the mounting holes that it supports.
To understand what the VESA pattern of your TV is, you can turn it over and measure the distances between the mounting holes with a measuring tape.
Please note that the distance needs to be measured in millimeters.
Once you have found out what the VESA pattern of your TV is, you can start to find a mount that supports that specific pattern.
Mount Type
It’s extremely important to think about the type of mount you want to get since their prices can vary a lot and they have wildly different functions.
If you have a ton of space and want a mount that can support multiple different viewing angles, you should get a mount that can provide you with a decent amount of movement.
Examples of such mounts are full-motion mounts, swivel mounts, and articulating mounts.
On the other hand, if you have a small space, you would be much better off with a mount that provides limited motion or no motion at all.
Examples of such mounts are fixed mounts and tilt mounts.
If you intend to have your TV near a light source such as a window, it’s a good idea to get a tilting mount. This is because you can adjust the tilt angle of a tilting mount in order to reduce glare.
Wrapping Things Up…
That’s pretty much it for our GForce TV Mount review.
In conclusion, we do feel it’s worth the price as it’s durable, has a ton of movement functions, and is also very easy to install.
